The AFL FASTConnect® ST® Connector is a factory pre-polished, field-installable solution that eliminates the need for hand polishing. Using proven mechanical splice technology, it ensures precise fiber alignment with a pre-cleaved fiber stub and proprietary index-matching gel for low-loss terminations in single-mode and multimode fibers.
FASTConnect is compatible with 250µm and 900µm optical fibers and supports all primary fiber optic types. Each connector is color-coded to industry standards for easy identification during and after installation. A factory-installed wedge clip is included and discarded upon termination. The translucent wedge design allows for visual fault inspection (VFI), enabling a quick “pass/fail” check once physical contact is achieved.
