Learn the 8 Basic Steps to prepare a jacketed cable for termination
- Load the boot and crimp sleeve
- Make two marks on the cable. 1 for the outer jacket, 1 for the kevlar
- Strip the outer jacket
- Cut the kevlar flush with the jacket.
- Cut at the 2nd mark using proper tooling.
- Mark buffer according to the manufacturer’s template.
- Strip buffer with the appropriate fiber stripper.
- Remove residue from the fiber using lint free wipe.
